Frankfurt-Egelsbach Airport wins Award as Best General Aviation Airport in Europe
Out of over 100 airfields nominated, Frankfurt-Egelsbach Airport was chosen by readers of the monthly fliegermagazin as the 2014 Best General Aviation Airport in Europe.
The third annual awards saw companies compete across ten categories, including Best Light Jet, Best Contract Helicopter and Newcomer of the Year.
Frankfurt-Egelsbach Airport’s Managing Director, Joe Bauer, and Technical Director, Simon Bock -Janning, were at the awards ceremony to receive the coveted trophy on behalf of the company.
Mr Bauer commented: “we are very honoured to receive this award and I am very proud to work with such a great team at the airport. Without them this would not have been possible. The award is one that is voted on by the readers of fliegermagazin and so to be accredited directly by those using our facilities is a great recognition for all at Frankfurt-Egelsbach Airport.”
Frankfurt-Egelsbach Airport is the busiest business and general aviation airport in Germany, situated only 20 minutes away from downtown Frankfurt and free of slot restrictions, it allows for an easy reach to the German financial capital.
